Due Diligence Subject Matter Expert: Daniel Weiss

Mr. Weiss began his career in the security industry while in Graduate School at Northeastern University, where he worked at a maximum security prison in Massachusetts, Walpole State Prison. Mr. Weiss left the public sector and entered the private security sector. During the past 15 years, Mr. Weiss has worked for Wells Fargo, Chubb, Alarmex, and has started three successful private sector security firms EPS Security, GCS, and Infrastruct Security. Mr. Weiss has been interviewed as a subject matter expert on critical infrastructure security for ABC, NBC, CBS and for Inc Magazine. Mr. Weiss has also been a subject matter expert for chemical security for Security Director News, SDM, and Security System News.

Ray Gilley is the Manager of McCann Investigations, Dallas/Fort Worth with responsibility for computer forensics, investigative services, and background checks. With more than 32 years in the security industry, he served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Sonitrol Management Corporation, the 7th largest electronic security company in the United States, and was responsible for a budget of over $100 million and a staff of more than five hundred across the country. Following Sonitrol, Mr. Gilley owned and managed Encompass Security, Inc. While at both companies, he successfully acquired several companies, as well as sold his own electronic security company. Mr. Gilley brings a well-rounded understanding of the buyer/seller sides of the transaction.

TSCM Subject Matter Expert: Greg Albanese

Mr. Albanese has twenty-six years of experience in both the public and private sector which has been focused on technology and the use of technology in investigation. Mr. Albanese’s background includes service as the New York Deputy Chief Investigator and the head of the Technical Surveillance Operations Group (TSOP). In addition, Mr. Albanese spent three and half years as a full time security consultant for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, assigned to the World Trade Center security system project. In addition, in 2003 Mr. Albanese led a team of experts to assess and secure physical and communications security at the UN headquarters in Baghdad.

Investigations Subject Matter Expert: Jim Harris

Mr. Harris brings forty years of public safety, law enforcement, management and training experience to his clientele. Mr. Harris operates as a “Foreign Language Crime Specialist”. Mr. Harris gained the majority of his investigative experience over 26 years in the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. During his tenure in law enforcement, Mr. Harris served both in the domestic United States and overseas. Domestic highlights include service at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center and as the head of operations for the DEA in Florida and New Jersey. Internationally, Mr. Harris was stationed as the DEA Country Attaché in Hong Kong. Mr. Harris has extensive experience in Asia Pacific and South America where he worked with both local police and military officials and the US Ambassadors and intelligence community.

Due Diligence Subject Matter Expert: Michelle Weiss

Houston, Texas. Ms. Weiss began her career in the security industry while in Graduate School at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. Ms. Weiss received a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from Northeastern. At the same time, Ms. Weiss began assisting researchers and clinicians in a laboratory studying major psychiatric disorders forming an interest in the correlation between criminology, genetics, and psychopathology. Ms. Weiss co-authored scientific articles on the subjects of major psychiatric disorders while working at McLean Psychiatric Hospital in Belmont, Massachusetts.

Investigations Subject Matter Expert: John M. Ryan

Mr. Ryan retired from the New York City Police Department as a First Grade Detective after 33 years of service. Mr. Ryan has lectured on kidnap investigations, executive protection and premises security for the Chief of Detectives Training Unit of the New York City Police Department, John Jay College of Criminal Justice, the Eastern Armed Robbery Association, and the Jewelers Security Alliance. He is a noted authority on executive protection and physical security, and has received certification in Specialized Protective Security Training from the New York City Police Department Intelligence Division and the United States Secret Service. Mr. Ryan is Diplomat of the American College of Forensic Examiners International, holding a Certificate in Homeland Security Level III.

Chief Security Architect: Eric D McMillen

Eric is the Chief Security Architect with McCann Investigations. He has been providing consulting services for clients in a wide variety of industries for the last 19 years. Eric’s primary responsibilities are leading risk assessments, information security assessments, incident response, penetration testing, and Network Breach Assessments using both cutting-edge technologies and old school techniques for clients in various industries. Past work experience includes management in the Network Security and Infrastructure practice and the National Information Systems Assurance practice for BDO Seidman, LLP, an international accounting and consulting practice; previously, he was the Chief Technology Officer for an international consulting firm, specializing in the Accounting and Professional Services sector.

Computer Forensics: Gary Huestis

enCE Gary Huestis started his computer career in 1988 working for Compaq Computer Corporation. As a Systems Engineer he was responsible for configuring, testing and debugging hardware and software slated to ship with their computer systems. After leaving Compaq in 2000 Gary focused his full attention on Computer Forensics. Gary became an EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE) in 2005. Since that time Gary has worked hundreds of computer forensic cases, with work including data collection, electronic discovery, forensic investigations and expert testimony.
